Title
Apache HBase: Missing scanner instance owner check in thrift delegation service
Summary
Missing Authorization vulnerability in Apache HBase thrift and rest delegation service.
A scan operation in thrift/rest service has 3 steps, open, fetch(possible multiple times), close.
The open step will return an id which will be passed back to server for identifying the scanner instances stored at server side.
We missed the owner check in fetch and close steps which means a user can fetch rows from the scanner which is opened by other users, and close scanners which belongs to other users.
This issue affects Apache HBase:from 3.0.0-alpha-1 through 3.0.0-beta-1, from 2.6.0 through 2.6.5, from 2.5.0 through 2.5.14, through 2.4.*.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.0.0-beta-2, 2.6.6 and 2.5.15, which fixes the issue.

Title
Apache NimBLE: Incorrect data validation in BASS add/modify source operation
Summary
Out-of-bounds Write, Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) vulnerability in Apache NimBLE BASS service.
Improper validation when parsing BASS service "Add Source" and "Modify Source" operation PDU could results in stack buffer overflow or arbitrary out-of-bound read.
This can be triggered by nearby devices over Bluetooth connection, however pairing is required prior to accessing BASS service, which depending on device configuration may or may not require user action.
This issue affects Apache NimBLE: through 1.9.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.10.0, which fixes the issue.

Title
Apache NimBLE: OOB Read via sizeof(pointer) in Legacy Advertising Report Handler
Summary
Incorrect Calculation of Buffer Size vulnerability in Apache NimBLE when processing Legacy Advertising Report HCI event.
When a single HCI advertising report event bundles multiple reports, NimBLE miscalculated the offset to the next report. This can cause the host to read past the end of the buffer and deliver a GAP event with bogus data to the application.
Severity is low: NimBLE's own controller never batches multiple reports into one event, so this only matters when NimBLE's host is paired with a third-party controller that does.
This issue affects Apache NimBLE: through 1.9.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.10.0, which fixes the issue.

Title
Apache NimBLE: Buffer overflow in socket HCI transport
Summary
Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow') vulnerability in Apache NimBLE.
The HCI socket transport did not check whether a received HCI event would fit the configured event pool before copying it, allowing a buffer overflow. Severity is low: exploitation requires either a misconfigured pool size or a malicious/compromised controller on the other end of the HCI socket link, not over-the-air Bluetooth access.
This issue affects Apache NimBLE: through 1.9.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.10.0, which fixes the issue.

Title
Apache Neethi: Remote PolicyReference fetch lacks resource bounds
Summary
Although remote policy references are not retrieved during policy normalization, if they are manually retrieved via the API it can cause a denial of service attack if a huge policy is retrieved. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.2.3, which fixes this issue by imposing a default maximum size on data read from remote policy references.

Title
Apache OpenNLP: Arbitrary Class Instantiation in GeneratorFactory via Feature Descriptor XML
Summary
Arbitrary Class Instantiation via XML Feature Generator Descriptor and Format Name in Apache OpenNLP
Versions Affected:
- before 2.5.10
- before 3.0.0-M5
Description:
Three code paths in Apache OpenNLP load a class by its fully-qualified name via Class.forName() and invoke its no-arg constructor without any prior validation of the class name or its type.
The affected paths are:
(1) GeneratorFactory, which reads the class attribute of generator elements in an XML feature generator descriptor; such descriptors are embedded as artifacts in model archives (e.g. TokenNameFinder and POSTagger models) and are parsed during model loading, so an attacker who can supply a crafted model archive controls the class name directly.
(2) StreamFactoryRegistry.getFactory(Class, String), which falls back to interpreting an unregistered format name as the fully-qualified class name of an ObjectStreamFactory; this is exploitable in applications that pass untrusted format names (e.g. exposing the -format parameter of the command-line tooling to external input).
(3) StringInterners, which instantiates the interner implementation named by the opennlp.interner.class system property; this value is normally deployer-controlled, so it is hardened as defense in depth rather than being independently attacker-reachable.
Exploitation requires a class with attacker-useful side effects in its static initializer or no-arg constructor (JNDI lookup, outbound network I/O, filesystem access) to be present on the classpath, so this is not drop-in remote code execution. T
Mitigation:
Upgrade to a fixed release.
The fix routes all three paths through ExtensionLoader.instantiateExtension(...), which consults a package-prefix allowlist before Class.forName() is invoked, so a disallowed class is never loaded, initialized, or constructed.
Classes under the opennlp. prefix remain permitted by default. Deployments that load models referencing feature generator factories, object stream factories, or string interners outside opennlp.* must opt those packages in, either programmatically via ExtensionLoader.registerAllowedPackage(String) before the first model load, or by setting the OPENNLP_EXT_ALLOWED_PACKAGES system property to a comma-separated list of allowed package prefixes.
Users who cannot upgrade immediately should ensure all model files and format names are sourced from trusted origins and should audit their classpath for classes with side-effecting static initializers or constructors.

Apache Fory, Apache Fory: Out-of-Bounds Read via sun.misc.Unsafe in zero-copy java deserialization
Summary
Out-of-bounds read via sun.misc.Unsafe in Apache Fory. When out-of-band zero-copy deserialization is used, readAlignedVarUint() can read beyond the bounds of the underlying buffer. Out-of-band zero-copy deserialization is an opt-in feature; applications that do not use it are not affected.
This issue affects Apache Fory (formerly Apache Fury): from 0.5.0 before 1.4.0. Versions before 0.11.0 were published under the Maven coordinates org.apache.fury:fury-core.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.4.0, which fixes the issue.

Title
Apache Fory: Heap type confusion and out-of-bounds read/write in C++ compatible-mode field-skip paths
Summary
Heap type confusion and out-of-bounds read/write in the Apache Fory C++ implementation. When deserializing data in compatible mode, the field-skip paths do not correctly validate the declared field types against the actual data, so input with an inconsistent schema can cause type confusion and out-of-bounds memory access. Only the C++ implementation is affected; other language implementations of Apache Fory are not.
This issue affects Apache Fory C++: from 0.14.0 before 1.4.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.4.0, which fixes the issue.

Title
Apache MINA SSHD: Path traversal in org.apache.sshd:sshd-git on Windows
Summary
Path traversal on Windows in Apache MINA SSHD component sshd-git. Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH.
A git server implemented with Apache MINA SSHD component sshd-git and running on Windows could allow an authenticated remote user access to git repositories outside of the configured server-side root directory. The path validation applied for CVE-2026-48827 in Apache MINA SSHD 2.18.0 and 3.0.0-M4 was partly ineffective for Servers running on Windows.
Applications are affected if they use org.apache.sshd:sshd-git to implement a git server and run on Windows. Applications not using sshd-git or not running on Windows are not affected.
Users are advised to upgrade affected applications to Apache MINA SSHD 2.19.0, which fixes the issue.
The issue also is present in the pre-release milestones 3.0.0-M1 to 3.0.0-M4 for a new upcoming new major version 3.0.0. Again, applications are affected only if they use sshd-git and run on Windows. Upgrade affected applications to 3.0.0-M5.

Title
Apache MINA SSHD: SSH certificate options lack validations
Summary
Improper certificate validation in Apache MINA SSHD (server-side). Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH.
Server-side OpenSSH user certificate validation during user authentication in an Apache MINA SSHD server did not check for the unsupported force-command or verify-required options that could be embedded in the certificate, nor did it validate these options. As a result it was possible that a user could authenticate with such a certificate that included a force-command option but still was able to execute other commands. What other command exactly would be available to the user depends on the implementation of the server.
This issue is fixed in Apache MINA SSHD 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M5. Applications are advised to upgrade to these versions.
The fix rejects OpenSSH user certificates that include these options, since Apache MINA SSHD implements neither force-command nor sk-*-cert-v01@openssh.com user certificates (which are the only ones for which verify-required would make sense).

Title
Apache MINA SSHD: Remote execution of JGit commands can write files on the server
Summary
Improper input validation in sshd-git in Apache MINA SSHD. Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH.
Component org.apache.sshd:sshd-git provides though its GitPgmCommandFactory a way to configure an Apache MINA SSHD server such that SSH clients can remotely execute git commands via the JGit library on git repositories stored on the server.
This GitPgmCommandFactory allowed a user authenticated via SSH to run any JGit command available, including commands that could write files at arbitrary places such as git archive with the --output option.
Affected are SSH servers implemented with Apache MINA SSHD and using the GitPgmCommandFactory. If the GitPgmCommandFactory is not configured on the server, the server is not affected.
It is recommended to upgrade affected servers to Apache MINA SSHD 2.19.0 or 3.0.0-M5, which fix this issue.
The issue is fixed by restricting the available commands to a small whitelist of uncritical commands (such as git log). git archive is also allowed, but its --output argument is ignored and the archive is always sent through the SSH channel to the client.

Title
Apache MINA SSHD: Path traversal in SCP file reception
Summary
Path traversal in the sshd-scp component of Apache MINA SSHD. Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH.
The implementation of receiving files or directories via SCP did not validate filenames in SCP "C" or "D" commands. A malicious sender could send filenames containing paths, resulting in files to be written in attacker-controlled places.
The issue affects only
* applications that use no longer supported Apache MINA SSHD versions < 2.0.0 and use the SCP functions to receive files,
* or applications using sshd-scp in Apache MINA SSHD >= 2.0.0 to receive files.
Applications using Apache MINA SSHD >= 2.0.0 not using sshd-scp are not affected.
The issue is fixed in Apache MINA 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M5. Affected applications are advised to upgrade to these versions.

Title
Apache Syncope: User self-service privilege escalation
Summary
Improper Privilege Management vulnerability in Apache Syncope.
When:
* the all-Java user workflow adapter is configured, or
* the Flowable user workflow adapter is configured, bearing a BPMN definition not requiring admin approval for user self registration of self update requests
the following scenario could happen.
A REST API call can allow the user to grant themselves one or more of defined Roles, thus gaining their Entitlements and becoming in fact an administrator; the actual Entitlements gained depend on the Roles that are effectively defined on the specific Syncope deployment.
This issue affects Apache Syncope: from 3.0.0-M0 through 3.0.16, from 4.0.0-M0 Through 4.0.6, from 4.1.0-M0 through 4.1.1.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.0.7 / 4.1.2, which fix this issue.

Title
Apache Syncope: Remote Code Execution via Flowable BPMN Groovy ScriptTask
Summary
Improper Isolation or Compartmentalization vulnerability in Apache Syncope.
An administrator with adequate entitlements can import arbitrary BPMN process definitions via the REST API and then start the process. When a BPMN process containing a Groovy scriptTask is imported and started, the Groovy script is executed directly on the server, with no sandbox.
This issue affects Apache Syncope: from 3.0.0-M0 through 3.0.16, from 4.0.0-M0 Through 4.0.6, from 4.1.0-M0 through 4.1.1.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.0.7 / 4.1.2, which fix this issue by wrapping Flowable's Groovy scriptTasks with security sandbox.

Title
Apache Ivy: PackagerResolver path traversal vulnerability
Summary
The PackagerResolver of Apache Ivy is able to download online
artifacts and to (re)package them in a format defined by a
packager.xml file. This repackaging is done by an Ant script, which is
stored in a subdirectory of the configured "buildRoot" directory. This
subdirectory is calculated based on modules coordinates, like the
organisation, name or version.
If one of the coordinates contains "../" sequences - which are valid
characters for Ivy coordinates in general- it is possible to break out
of the configured "buildRoot" directory where other files can be
overwritten.
In order to exploit this vulnerability an attacker needs to have
access to a packager repository and add or modify the coordinates in
ivy.xml files to have such "../" sequences.
Users of Apache Ivy 2.0.0 to 2.5.3 (inclusive) should upgrade to Ivy 2.6.0.

Title
Apache Fineract: Office list: SQL Injection via Subquery in orderBy
Summary
A SQL Injection vulnerability exists in Apache Fineract's Office Search API (GET /api/v1/offices) in versions up to and including 1.14.0. The orderBy request parameter is concatenated into a SQL query without sufficient validation, allowing an authenticated user with permission to view offices to inject arbitrary SQL via a crafted orderBy value. This is a bypass of the ColumnValidator fix introduced for CVE-2024-32838, which does not detect bare subqueries in the ORDER BY position. This can be leveraged to perform time-based blind SQL injection for data exfiltration. Because the injected query blocks the database connection for its full duration, concurrent exploitation can exhaust the application's database connection pool, resulting in denial of service for other users. Users are recommended to upgrade to a version containing the fix.

Title
Apache Fineract: SQL injection in runreports endpoint
Summary
A SQL Injection vulnerability exists in Apache Fineract's Report Execution API (runreports endpoint) in versions up to and including 1.14.0. Report parameter values are incorporated into the generated SQL query without sufficient validation, allowing an authenticated user with permission to run reports to inject arbitrary SQL via crafted parameter values. This can be leveraged to perform unauthorized access to data beyond what the report was designed to expose. Users are recommended to upgrade to a version containing the fix.
