Vulnerability from csaf_certbund - Published: 2018-12-06 23:00 - Updated: 2024-09-02 22:00Es existiert eine Schwachstelle in QEMU. Es handelt sich hier um eine Path-Traversal Schwachstelle besteht im qemu Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). In der "usb_mtp_write_data" Funktion in [hw/usb/dev-mtp.c] werden Dateinamen unsachgemäß verarbeitet. Wenn das Gastsystem im Lese-/Schreibmodus gemountet ist, kann ein Angreifer beliebige Dateien auf dem Host lesen und schreiben, was zu einem Denial of Service oder möglicherweise zur Codeausführung auf dem Host führen kann.
