Vulnerability from variot
A heap buffer overflow in the TFTP receiving code allows for DoS or arbitrary code execution in libcurl versions 7.19.4 through 7.64.1. libcurl Contains a buffer error vulnerability.Information is obtained, information is altered, and service operation is disrupted (DoS) There is a possibility of being put into a state. curl/libcURL is prone a heap-based buffer-overflow vulnerability. An attacker can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary code in the context of the affected application. Failed exploit attempts will likely result in denial-of-service conditions. libcurl versions 7.19.4 through 7.64.1 are vulnerable. Haxx libcurl is an open source client URL transfer library from Haxx, Sweden. The product supports protocols such as FTP, SFTP, TFTP and HTTP. This vulnerability stems from the incorrect verification of data boundaries when the network system or product performs operations on the memory, resulting in incorrect read and write operations to other associated memory locations. ========================================================================== Ubuntu Security Notice USN-3993-2 May 22, 2019
