In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (mlxreg-fan) Return non-zero value when fan current state is enforced from sysfs Fan speed minimum can be enforced from sysfs. For example, setting current fan speed to 20 is used to enforce fan speed to be at 100% speed, 19 - to be not below 90% speed, etcetera. This feature provides ability to limit fan speed according to some system wise considerations, like absence of some replaceable units or high system ambient temperature. Request for changing fan minimum speed is configuration request and can be set only through 'sysfs' write procedure. In this situation value of argument 'state' is above nominal fan speed maximum. Return non-zero code in this case to avoid thermal_cooling_device_stats_update() call, because in this case statistics update violates thermal statistics table range. The issues is observed in case kernel is configured with option CONFIG_THERMAL_STATISTICS. CWE-833 - Deadlock

A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel where rx zerocopy feature allowed mapping of pages owned by the filesystem, leading to potential system panic which is caused by the lack of sanity checks to rx zerocopy. A local authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service.

CWE-20 - Improper Input Validation

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio/pci: Lock external INTx masking ops Mask operations through config space changes to DisINTx may race INTx configuration changes via ioctl. Create wrappers that add locking for paths outside of the core interrupt code. In particular, irq_type is updated holding igate, therefore testing is_intx() requires holding igate. For example clearing DisINTx from config space can otherwise race changes of the interrupt configuration. This aligns interfaces which may trigger the INTx eventfd into two camps, one side serialized by igate and the other only enabled while INTx is configured. A subsequent patch introduces synchronization for the latter flows.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. A logical error in the Multipath TCP packet manager causes some packets intended for retransmission to be lost, resulting in a potential denial of service.
