Title
Infrastructure Metadata Leak via SR-IOV VIF Xenstore Passthrough
Summary
On XAPI-based hypervisors (XenServer, XCP-ng), arbitrary keys in VIF.other_config become visible to the guest VM via xenstore when the VIF is backed by an SR-IOV virtual function. The standard VIF path applies a 7-key whitelist filter (device.ml:827-829); the SR-IOV path (device.ml:978-1006) omits this filter entirely. Unfiltered keys are written to a guest-readable xenstore path (rwperm_for_guest). Infrastructure metadata written to other_config by administrators or automation tools is exposed to the guest, violating the assumption that other_config is host-internal.
