    Title
OpenList: Arbitrary File Read via Path Prefix Confusion in Share Creation API
    Summary
OpenList a file list program that supports multiple storage. Prior to 4.2.4, the share creation and update checks in server/handles/sharing.go use strings.HasPrefix(requested_path, user.BasePath) without enforcing a directory separator boundary. An authenticated user with CanShare permission and a BasePath such as /base can submit a sibling path such as /base2/secret.txt, create a share for the out-of-scope file, and use the public share download or list handlers to read data outside the assigned directory. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.4.

    Title
OpenList: Authenticated users can rename files outside their base path via batch rename `src_name` traversal
    Summary
OpenList a file list program that supports multiple storage. Prior to 4.2.4, the authenticated /api/fs/batch_rename handler in server/handles/fsbatch.go authorizes only the source directory produced by user.JoinPath(req.SrcDir) and validates renameObject.NewName with checkRelativePath, but does not validate attacker-controlled renameObject.SrcName, supplied as src_name, before concatenating it with the authorized path and passing the result to fs.Rename. A user with rename permission can use traversal segments in src_name to make path normalization select a file outside the authorized directory and configured base path, resulting in cross-user file integrity loss, limited availability impact, and file-existence disclosure through success or error responses. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.4.

    Title
    OpenList Insecure TLS Default Configuration
    Summary
OpenList Frontend is a UI component for OpenList. Prior to 4.1.10, certificate verification is disabled by default for all storage driver communications. The TlsInsecureSkipVerify setting is default to true in the DefaultConfig() function in internal/conf/config.go. This vulnerability enables Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks by disabling TLS certificate verification, allowing attackers to intercept and manipulate all storage communications. Attackers can exploit this through network-level attacks like ARP spoofing, rogue Wi-Fi access points, or compromised internal network equipment to redirect traffic to malicious endpoints. Since certificate validation is skipped, the system will unknowingly establish encrypted connections with attacker-controlled servers, enabling full decryption, data theft, and manipulation of all storage operations without triggering any security warnings. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.1.10.

This vulnerability is fixed in 4.1.10."

    CVE-2026-25059 (GCVE-0-2026-25059)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-02-02 22:24 – Updated: 2026-02-04 16:53
    VLAI
    Title
OpenList affected by Path Traversal in file copy and remove handlers
    Summary
OpenList Frontend is a UI component for OpenList. Prior to 4.1.10, the application contains path traversal vulnerability in multiple file operation handlers in server/handles/fsmanage.go. Filename components in req.Names are directly concatenated with validated directories using stdpath.Join. This allows ".." sequences to bypass path restrictions, enabling users to access other users' files within the same storage mount and perform unauthorized actions such as deletion, renaming, or copying of files. An authenticated attacker can bypass directory-level authorisation by injecting traversal sequences into filename components, enabling unauthorised file removal and copying across user boundaries within the same storage mount. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.1.10.

    Title
OpenList (frontend) allows XSS Attacks in the built-in Markdown Viewer
    Summary
OpenList Frontend is a UI component for OpenList. Prior to version 4.0.0-rc.4, a vulnerability exists in the file preview/browsing feature of the application, where files with a .py extension that contain JavaScript code wrapped in <script> tags may be interpreted and executed as HTML in certain modes. This leads to a stored XSS vulnerability. This issue has been patched in version 4.0.0-rc.4.

    CVE-2026-25060 (GCVE-0-2026-25060)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-02-02 22:26 – Updated: 2026-02-04 16:53
    VLAI
