Title
HyperDX < 2.31.0 SSRF via Webhook Test Endpoint
Summary
HyperDX before 2.31.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows authenticated team members to direct the server to make requests to arbitrary internal network destinations by supplying a caller-controlled URL to the webhook test endpoint. Attackers can bypass the insufficient hostname blacklist validation in the webhook handler to enumerate internal services, interact with internal containers, or access cloud instance metadata services including provider metadata endpoints.

Title
MagicMirror: ssrf calendar .js
Summary
MagicMirror² is an open source modular smart mirror platform. Prior to 2.37.0, the ADD_CALENDAR handler in defaultmodules/calendar/node_helper.js accepts an attacker-controlled URL, authentication data, and selfSignedCert setting through the unauthenticated Socket.IO namespace /calendar. The handler passes these fields to CalendarFetcher, causing a server-side request without SSRF validation and optionally disabling TLS verification. When the response is valid iCal, CALENDAR_EVENTS returns parsed event data to the attacker, allowing internal-service response data to be exfiltrated; other responses still provide a blind request and timing primitive. This issue is fixed in version 2.37.0.

Title
MagicMirror newsfeed Socket.IO notification allows blind server-side request forgery
Summary
MagicMirror² is an open source modular smart mirror platform. Prior to 2.37.0, checkArticleUrl in defaultmodules/newsfeed/node_helper.js accepts the CHECK_ARTICLE_URL notification through the unauthenticated Socket.IO namespace /newsfeed and performs fetch(url, { method: "HEAD" }) without validating the attacker-controlled URL. The helper returns ARTICLE_URL_STATUS containing the URL and framing result, providing a response and timing oracle that can identify internal hosts and ports and trigger side effects on services that react to HEAD requests. This issue is fixed in version 2.37.0.

Title
Nebula-mesh allows non-admin operators to disable webhook SSRF protection via `allow_private`
Summary
nebula-mesh is a self-hosted control plane for Slack Nebula mesh VPN. From version 0.6.0 to before version 0.7.2, non-admin operators (role user) can set allow_private: true on their own managed webhook subscription (POST/PATCH /api/v1/webhook-subscriptions). No admin check exists on this field. At delivery time, allow_private switches the dispatcher to an unguarded HTTP client, bypassing the private/loopback/link-local SSRF guard — letting a low-privilege operator make the server request internal addresses. This issue has been patched in version 0.7.2.

Title
9Router before 0.4.72 Server-Side Request Forgery via /v1/web/fetch
Summary
9Router before 0.4.72 contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the /v1/web/fetch endpoint. The endpoint accepts a user-controlled url parameter and passes it to a configured external scraping provider (Firecrawl, Jina Reader, Tavily, or Exa) to fetch content. The URL is only validated as syntactically valid via new URL() with no blocklist for private IP ranges, cloud metadata endpoints (e.g., 169.254.169.254), link-local addresses, or internal hostnames. An authenticated or locally-connected user can cause the server to fetch arbitrary internal URLs and have the response content returned, enabling read-access SSRF that can expose cloud metadata credentials, reach internal services, and bypass authentication on localhost endpoints.

Title
NLTK before 3.10.0 SSRF via DNS Resolution Failure
Summary
NLTK before 3.10.0 (affected versions <= 3.9.4) contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the validate_network_url() function in nltk/pathsec.py. The _resolve_hostname() helper catches OSError and ValueError during socket.getaddrinfo() and returns an empty list; when DNS resolution fails, the validation loop executes no IP checks and the function fails open, allowing urlopen() to proceed without validation. An attacker who can trigger DNS resolution failures or use DNS rebinding can bypass SSRF protections and reach restricted network resources, including cloud metadata endpoints (e.g., 169.254.169.254).

Title
stoatchat before 0.13.5 Unauthenticated SSRF via proxy and embed endpoints
Summary
stoatchat before 0.13.5 contains an unauthenticated server-side request forgery vulnerability in the /proxy and /embed endpoints that accept arbitrary URLs without DNS resolution filtering or private IP range validation. Attackers can enumerate internal services, fingerprint applications, and reach instance metadata endpoints by supplying malicious URLs or leveraging redirect chains to access internal infrastructure.

Title
LimeSurvey SSRF via REST API Survey Template Host Header
Summary
LimeSurvey through 6.17.10 and 7.0.4 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the REST API survey template endpoint that allows authenticated users to cause the server to issue arbitrary HTTP requests by supplying a manipulated Host header. Attackers can exploit the unsanitized use of the HTTP Host header in the getTemplateData() function to reach internal network services, cloud metadata endpoints, and extract sensitive credentials such as IAM tokens from instance metadata services.

Title
Dendrite 0.13.8 SSRF via Unauthenticated Legacy Media Download Endpoint
Summary
Dendrite through 0.13.8 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to cause the server to open outbound TLS connections to arbitrary hosts and ports by supplying an unvalidated serverName parameter to the legacy media download endpoint. Attackers can exploit distinguishable error response classes and leaked internal IP addresses in error messages to perform blind port scanning and enumerate internal network topology.

Title
stoatchat < 0.14.0 SSRF via DNS-based IP Blocklist Bypass
Summary
stoatchat before 0.14.0 contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability that allows unauthenticated network-accessible attackers to bypass the DNS-based IP blocklist by exploiting incomplete address validation in the url_is_blacklisted function, which inspects only the first resolved address while the underlying HTTP client iterates all cached addresses.

CAPEC-664: Server Side Request Forgery

An adversary exploits improper input validation by submitting maliciously crafted input to a target application running on a server, with the goal of forcing the server to make a request either to itself, to web services running in the server’s internal network, or to external third parties. If successful, the adversary’s request will be made with the server’s privilege level, bypassing its authentication controls. This ultimately allows the adversary to access sensitive data, execute commands on the server’s network, and make external requests with the stolen identity of the server. Server Side Request Forgery attacks differ from Cross Site Request Forgery attacks in that they target the server itself, whereas CSRF attacks exploit an insecure user authentication mechanism to perform unauthorized actions on the user's behalf.
