Vulnerability from csaf_certbund - Published: 2017-03-02 23:00 - Updated: 2022-12-26 23:00Es existiert eine Schwachstelle in vim im Zusammenhang mit der "unserialize_uep()" Funktion. Ein anonymer, entfernter Angreifer kann diese Schwachstelle nutzen, um einen Speicherüberlauf bei der Validierung von korrumpierten "undo"-Dateien hervorzurufen, um dadurch beliebigen Programmcode mit den Rechten des Benutzer ausführen zu können. Für die Ausnutzung dieser Schwachstellen ist eine Benutzeraktion erforderlich, indem der Anwender eine modifizierte "undo"-Datei öffnet.
