In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

can: bcm: add locking for bcm_op runtime updates

The CAN broadcast manager (CAN BCM) can send a sequence of CAN frames via
hrtimer. The content and also the length of the sequence can be changed
resp reduced at runtime where the 'currframe' counter is then set to zero.

Although this appeared to be a safe operation the updates of 'currframe'
can be triggered from user space and hrtimer context in bcm_can_tx().
Anderson Nascimento created a proof of concept that triggered a KASAN
slab-out-of-bounds read access which can be prevented with a spin_lock_bh.

At the rework of bcm_can_tx() the 'count' variable has been moved into
the protected section as this variable can be modified from both contexts
too.
AV:L - Exploitation requires a local `socket(PF_CAN, SOCK_DGRAM, CAN_BCM)` and concurrent `sendmsg()` calls; the race is between the local socket's user context and the local hrtimer softirq, with no remote input involved.
AC:L - The attacker controls both sides of the race — arming the hrtimer with a 1 µs `ival` (allowed by `bcm_is_invalid_tv()`) to spin `bcm_can_tx()` in softirq while looping `TX_SETUP|TX_ANNOUNCE` sendmsg on another CPU; a working PoC was written and tested by the reporter.
PR:L - `can_create()` performs no capability check and `can-bcm` is module-autoloaded on socket creation, so any unprivileged local user can reach `bcm_tx_setup()`; the required CAN netdev exists by default on automotive/industrial targets and is otherwise creatable via `unshare -Urn` plus vcan.
UI:N - The attacker triggers the entire sequence from its own process — socket creation, timer arming, and the concurrent TX_SETUP updates — with no victim action required.
S:U - The out-of-bounds read, the leaked pointers, and the counter underflow are all confined to the kernel's own security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - The OOB read is not merely detected by KASAN — the stale-heap bytes are copied into an skb and looped back by `can_send(skb, 1)`, so up to 72 bytes of adjacent slab memory per iteration, including the `op->sk` and `op->rx_reg_dev` kernel pointers, are delivered to a userspace `CAN_RAW` socket, giving a repeatable heap/KASLR disclosure primitive.
I:L - No out-of-bounds write primitive exists (`currframe` is only a read index), but the unsynchronized `op->count--` from both contexts corrupts kernel state by underflowing the u32 counter, and `op->currframe` itself is left in an invalid out-of-range state, causing the kernel to emit frames it was never instructed to send.
A:H - The `op->count` underflow to 0xFFFFFFFF makes `bcm_tx_set_expiry()` re-arm indefinitely at a 1 µs interval, producing a persistent softirq/TX flood that starves the CPU, and the slab-out-of-bounds access panics KASAN/hardened kernels outright.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

udp: Fix wildcard bind conflict check when using hash2

When binding a udp_sock to a local address and port, UDP uses
two hashes (udptable->hash and udptable->hash2) for collision
detection. The current code switches to "hash2" when
hslot->count > 10.

"hash2" is keyed by local address and local port.
"hash" is keyed by local port only.

The issue can be shown in the following bind sequence (pseudo code):

bind(fd1, "[fd00::1]:8888")
bind(fd2, "[fd00::2]:8888")
bind(fd3, "[fd00::3]:8888")
bind(fd4, "[fd00::4]:8888")
bind(fd5, "[fd00::5]:8888")
bind(fd6, "[fd00::6]:8888")
bind(fd7, "[fd00::7]:8888")
bind(fd8, "[fd00::8]:8888")
bind(fd9, "[fd00::9]:8888")
bind(fd10, "[fd00::10]:8888")

/* Correctly return -EADDRINUSE because "hash" is used
* instead of "hash2". udp_lib_lport_inuse() detects the
* conflict.
*/
bind(fail_fd, "[::]:8888")

/* After one more socket is bound to "[fd00::11]:8888",
* hslot->count exceeds 10 and "hash2" is used instead.
*/
bind(fd11, "[fd00::11]:8888")
bind(fail_fd, "[::]:8888") /* succeeds unexpectedly */

The same issue applies to the IPv4 wildcard address "0.0.0.0"
and the IPv4-mapped wildcard address "::ffff:0.0.0.0". For
example, if there are existing sockets bound to
"192.168.1.[1-11]:8888", then binding "0.0.0.0:8888" or
"[::ffff:0.0.0.0]:8888" can also miss the conflict when
hslot->count > 10.

TCP inet_csk_get_port() already has the correct check in
inet_use_bhash2_on_bind(). Rename it to
inet_use_hash2_on_bind() and move it to inet_hashtables.h
so udp.c can reuse it in this fix.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

tcp: call sk_data_ready() after listener migration

When inet_csk_listen_stop() migrates an established child socket from
a closing listener to another socket in the same SO_REUSEPORT group,
the target listener gets a new accept-queue entry via
inet_csk_reqsk_queue_add(), but that path never notifies the target
listener's waiters. A nonblocking accept() still works because it
checks the queue directly, but poll()/epoll_wait() waiters and
blocking accept() callers can also remain asleep indefinitely.

Call READ_ONCE(nsk->sk_data_ready)(nsk) after a successful migration
in inet_csk_listen_stop().

However, after inet_csk_reqsk_queue_add() succeeds, the ref acquired
in reuseport_migrate_sock() is effectively transferred to
nreq->rsk_listener. Another CPU can then dequeue nreq via accept()
or listener shutdown, hit reqsk_put(), and drop that listener ref.
Since listeners are SOCK_RCU_FREE, wrap the post-queue_add()
dereferences of nsk in rcu_read_lock()/rcu_read_unlock(), which also
covers the existing sock_net(nsk) access in that path.

The reqsk_timer_handler() path does not need the same changes for two
reasons: half-open requests become readable only after the final ACK,
where tcp_child_process() already wakes the listener; and once nreq is
visible via inet_ehash_insert(), the success path no longer touches
nsk directly.
AV:L - The bug is reached only through local socket lifecycle operations — creating an SO_REUSEPORT group, enabling migration, and closing the source listener while accepting/closing the target. A remote peer cannot set up the migration group or drive the race, so the vector is Local.
AC:L - The attacker controls both sides of the race (the closing listener via inet_csk_listen_stop and the concurrent accept/close that drops the listener's last ref), and the missed-wakeup half is deterministic; per guidance an attacker-created race is Low.
PR:L - Migration must be enabled, requiring CAP_NET_ADMIN to set the per-netns net.ipv4.tcp_migrate_req sysctl (or a SK_REUSEPORT/migrate BPF prog), all of which an unprivileged user obtains in a user namespace via unshare -Urn.
UI:N - Triggering depends only on the attacker's own socket operations; no action by any other user is required.
S:U - The use-after-free and its impact are confined to the kernel's own memory/security authority with no crossing of a VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary.
C:H - Use-after-free of a SOCK_RCU_FREE listener socket lets reallocated/freed memory be read (e.g., via sock_net(nsk)), enabling kernel information disclosure.
I:H - The freed socket is dereferenced for sock_net(nsk) in __NET_INC_STATS (a pointer-controlled increment) and sk_data_ready(nsk) (a function-pointer call), giving an attacker-influenced write/control-flow primitive after heap grooming.
A:H - The use-after-free reliably crashes the kernel, and the always-present missed wakeup hangs a listener's accept/poll/epoll waiters indefinitely.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

flow_dissector: do not dissect PPPoE PFC frames

RFC 2516 Section 7 states that Protocol Field Compression (PFC) is NOT
RECOMMENDED for PPPoE. In practice, pppd does not support negotiating
PFC for PPPoE sessions, and the flow dissector driver has assumed an
uncompressed frame until the blamed commit.

During the review process of that commit [1], support for PFC is
suggested.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

io_uring/poll: fix signed comparison in io_poll_get_ownership()

io_poll_get_ownership() uses a signed comparison to check whether
poll_refs has reached the threshold for the slowpath:

if (unlikely(atomic_read(&req->poll_refs) >= IO_POLL_REF_BIAS))

atomic_read() returns int (signed). When IO_POLL_CANCEL_FLAG
(BIT(31)) is set in poll_refs, the value becomes negative in
signed arithmetic, so the >= 128 comparison always evaluates to
false and the slowpath is never taken.

Fix this by casting the atomic_read() result to unsigned int
before the comparison, so that the cancel flag is treated as a
large positive value and correctly triggers the slowpath.
AV:L - The vulnerable path is reached by local `io_uring_setup()`/`io_uring_enter()` submissions of poll and cancel operations, not by remote packets or physical access.
AC:L - An attacker can create the ring, choose pollable file descriptors, submit cancels/removes, and generate concurrent wakeups; the race participants are attacker-controlled.
PR:L - With the default `io_uring_disabled=0`, an unprivileged local user can create and use io_uring; no real root or init-namespace capability is required.
UI:N - Exploitation does not require another user to mount, open, or process anything; the attacker drives the syscall and file-descriptor activity directly.
S:U - This is a kernel request-lifetime/ownership bug within the same host kernel security authority, not a VM, IOMMU, or separate security-scope escape.
C:H - The signedness bug defeats the poll_refs overflow/ownership slow path after cancellation, allowing ref-bit wrap and duplicate ownership/completion of an `io_kiocb`; that is UAF-style kernel memory corruption with plausible memory disclosure.
I:H - The same duplicate ownership/completion and request lifetime corruption can plausibly be shaped into arbitrary kernel memory modification or control-flow compromise, so integrity impact is high.
A:H - At minimum, corrupted poll ownership and duplicate completion can trigger kernel warnings, NULL dereferences, UAF crashes, or hangs in a local attacker-controlled loop.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net: guard timestamp cmsgs to real error queue skbs

skb_is_err_queue() treats PACKET_OUTGOING as the sole marker for an skb
from sk_error_queue. That assumption is not true for AF_PACKET sockets:
outgoing packet taps are also delivered to packet sockets with
skb->pkt_type == PACKET_OUTGOING, but their skb->cb is owned by AF_PACKET
instead of struct sock_exterr_skb.

If such an skb is received with timestamping enabled, the generic
timestamp cmsg path can read AF_PACKET control-buffer state as
sock_exterr_skb::opt_stats. With SO_RXQ_OVFL enabled, the packet drop
counter overlaps opt_stats. An odd drop count makes the path emit
SCM_TIMESTAMPING_OPT_STATS with skb->len and skb->data. For non-linear
skbs this copies past the linear head and can trigger hardened usercopy or
disclose adjacent heap contents.

Keep skb_is_err_queue() local to net/socket.c, but make it verify that
the PACKET_OUTGOING marker is paired with the sock_rmem_free destructor
installed by sock_queue_err_skb(). AF_PACKET receive skbs use normal
receive ownership and no longer pass as error-queue skbs, while legitimate
sk_error_queue entries keep the PACKET_OUTGOING marker and sock_rmem_free
ownership."

Remote packets alone do not reach the bug without a local attacker-controlled packet socket.
AC:L - The attacker controls the socket options, packet-socket receive queue pressure/drop count, and outgoing traffic needed to make the timestamp cmsg path run. No uncontrollable race or rare environmental condition is required for the highest-impact disclosure/crash scenario.
PR:L - Creating AF_PACKET sockets requires CAP_NET_RAW in the governing user namespace. Because this capability can be obtained by an unprivileged local user in user/network namespaces on common deployments, this is Low rather than High.
UI:N - No victim action is required after the attacker has local execution; the attacker can configure the socket and trigger recvmsg() themselves. The bug is not dependent on opening a file, mounting media, or other user-assisted behavior.
S:U - The impact remains within the kernel and the local host security authority. It does not cross a hypervisor, VM, IOMMU, or other separate security scope boundary.
C:H - The bogus SCM_TIMESTAMPING_OPT_STATS cmsg can copy skb->len bytes from skb->data even when the skb is non-linear, reading past the linear head. That can disclose adjacent kernel heap contents to userspace, which is a high confidentiality impact.
I:N - The investigated bug is an out-of-bounds read/copy-to-user and misclassification of skb metadata, not a kernel write primitive. I found no direct modification of kernel memory or protected data.
A:H - The same invalid copy can trigger hardened usercopy failures or kernel oops/panic on hardened deployments. The local attacker can repeat the trigger, so availability impact is High."
