Vim是一个高度可配置的文本编辑器，旨在高效地创建和更改任何类型的文本。作为vi的的改进版添加了许多新功能：多级撤消、语法突出显示、命令行历史、在线帮助、拼写检查、文件名完成、块操作、脚本语言等。

Vim存在安全漏洞。该漏洞是因为对‘editing_arg_idx’函数释放后再使用造成的，攻击者可利用该漏洞通过使用意外值或可能的代码执行导致系统崩溃。
