Unbound是荷兰NLnet实验室负责维护的一套基于C语言的开源递归式DNS服务器软件。

Unbound 1.6.8之前的版本中存在安全漏洞，该漏洞源于程序未能正确验证通配符记录。攻击者可利用该漏洞造成设备显示已存在的通配符记录并不存在或显示无数据。

A flaw was found in the way unbound before 1.6.8 validated wildcard-synthesized NSEC records. An improperly validated wildcard NSEC record could be used to prove the non-existence (NXDOMAIN answer) of an existing wildcard record, or trick unbound into accepting a NODATA proof.
