This is not a VM escape, sandbox breakout, or cross-tenant boundary violation.
C:H - Integer overflow yields a huge unsigned datalen, causing ct_sip_get_header() to read past the linearized skb tail; KASAN reports a use-after-free read, and this out-of-bounds/UAF access can disclose adjacent kernel heap memory beyond the packet buffer.
I:H - Although the immediate fault is a read past skb bounds, KASAN-classified UAF/out-of-bounds kernel heap corruption is exploitable with heap grooming for control of freed/reallocated objects, enabling arbitrary write and potential code execution in kernel context.
A:H - The corrupted datalen drives out-of-bounds access in softirq packet processing (ksoftirqd), which can cause kernel oops/panic and denial of service on the NAT/firewall handling the SIP flow; the bug is reliably triggerable with crafted packets."

Inheriting needed_headroom and needed_tailroom from phy_dev in ipvlan_init().
2. Propagating needed_headroom and needed_tailroom updates to attached ipvlans
in ipvlan_device_event() when receiving NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE events.
AV:N - On hosts where admins deployed ipvlan over phy_dev with non-zero headroom (WireGuard/IPsec/macsec/tunnels/veth-XDP), remote packets that trigger egress through the ipvlan netdev (TCP/UDP/ICMP responses, forwarded traffic) reach ipvlan_hard_header/dev_hard_header without local syscalls.
AC:L - Once the stacked netdev exists, the attacker controls packet sizes and connection patterns to deterministically undersize skb headroom/tailroom; syzbot reproduced KASAN slab-UAF without races or uncontrollable memory layout.
PR:N - Remote exploitation on pre-deployed ipvlan-over-encrypted/tunneled container or VPN hosts requires no credentials—only network reachability to services using that netdev; CAP_NET_ADMIN is only needed for the alternate local user-namespace setup path.
UI:N - No victim interaction is required; the attacker either sends crafted network traffic to trigger kernel TX through ipvlan or self-configures the netdev stack via rtnetlink inside a user namespace.
S:U - Impact is kernel slab skb/net_device memory corruption and local privilege escalation within the same kernel security authority, not a VM escape, IOMMU bypass, or other cross-boundary scope change.
C:H - Insufficient LL_RESERVED_SPACE causes pskb_expand_head to free still-referenced skb data and dev_hard_header skb_push to access memory outside the buffer; the fix cites KASAN slab-use-after-free, enabling arbitrary kernel memory disclosure.
I:H - Slab UAF and skb headroom underflow during header prepend give heap-grooming and controlled overwrite primitives on attacker-influenced TX paths, suitable for kernel control-flow hijacking and code execution.
A:H - Undersized headroom triggers skb_under_panic BUG and KASAN-reported slab-use-after-free oops/panic from softirq/TX paths; remote or local attackers can retrigger repeatedly for reliable kernel denial of service.
AV:N - flow_offload_add runs from nft_flow_offload_eval on the FORWARD hook and from tc act_ct during softirq packet processing when remote TCP/UDP traffic creates new offloaded conntrack flows on nftables flowtable routers/gateways, not through netlink configuration APIs.
AC:L - The attacker controls when flows are offloaded (packet rate/timing) and can race connection teardown so nf_flow_table_gc_run observes a partially installed original tuple while reply insertion is still in progress; both the insert and GC sides of the race are attacker-driven.
PR:N - On the intended edge-router/OpenWrt deployment, nftables flow offload is an administrator prerequisite; a remote sender needs no local account, authentication, or CAP_NET_ADMIN on the victim to trigger flow_offload_add while forwarding traffic.
UI:N - Exploitation requires only sending network packets processed automatically on the forwarding or ingress path; no victim must open files, mount filesystems, or take any interactive action beyond normal traffic through the router.
S:U - Slab use-after-free in the flowtable rhashtable/GC path affects only in-kernel memory on the affected host; this is standard kernel compromise within one security authority, not a VM escape, IOMMU bypass, or cross-boundary sandbox break.
C:H - The fix commit documents KASAN slab-use-after-free read and write reports in rht_deferred_worker, jhash, flow_offload_del, and flow_offload_lookup; UAF on flow_offload kmem-cache objects enables arbitrary kernel memory disclosure via heap grooming.
I:H - Freed flow_offload structures remain reachable during concurrent rhashtable insert/remove and deferred worker operations, providing attacker-influenceable heap corruption that can be groomed into arbitrary kernel writes and control-flow hijack.
A:H - Concurrent GC freeing of a partially inserted flow while flow_offload_add or rhashtable workers still access it causes kernel oops/panic and reliable denial of service; UAF on the flow offload path can crash forwarding routers under sustained malicious traffic.
AV:L - The bug is reached when an s390 KVM guest executes the privileged SIE instruction (B2/14), intercepted through handle_instruction() to kvm_s390_handle_vsie() and setup_apcb10(); that is a local guest/KVM ioctl path with no network, Bluetooth, or USB exposure.
AC:L - An L1 guest that first runs a FORMAT-2 nested SCB (setup_apcb11 fills all 256 APCB bits) and then a FORMAT-0/1 SCB on a recycled vsie page hits setup_apcb10() deterministically; get_vsie_page() reuses pages without clearing crycb, so leftover bits 64-255 persist with no race or uncontrolled memory layout.
PR:L - SIE requires guest supervisor state, i.e. the tenant guest kernel or an unprivileged host kvm-group user running QEMU, not host root; kvm_s390_handle_vsie() has no host capability gate, and user namespaces cannot substitute for this path, so privileges stay Low rather than High.
UI:N - The attacker guest issues SIE and uses the over-permissive shadow APCB itself; vsie page reuse and crycb shadowing run automatically inside KVM with no victim mount, click, or other user action.
S:C - Leftover APCB bits grant a nested guest millicode-enforced access to host AP adapters/domains outside its delegated matrix, crossing the KVM nested-virt and vfio-ap passthrough boundary into another guest's or the host zcrypt authority, equivalent to an IOMMU/device isolation bypass.
C:H - Unauthorized APQNs let the nested guest issue NQAP/DQAP against queues that may now belong to the host zcrypt stack or another tenant, disclosing cryptographic request/response data and key material on those adapters/domains.
I:H - The nested guest can enqueue arbitrary AP requests and change hardware queue state on adapters and domains 64-255 that the current shadow should have cleared, corrupting crypto operations the host believes are exclusive to another consumer.
A:H - With those leftover APQNs the nested guest can PQAP(ZAPQ)-reset or flood shared queues, denying host or sibling-guest crypto services (pkey, secure-key LUKS, openCryptoki) that depend on the same physical adapter/domain."

A malicious controller can send an R2T for a READ and
the host will answer it: nvme_tcp_setup_h2c_data_pdu() builds the
H2CData header and nvme_tcp_try_send_data() sends the request's data
buffer. That buffer is the READ destination, so its contents go to the
controller.

The command then completes normally and nothing is logged.

Against a test controller that answers every READ with an R2T, a 4096
byte buffered read returned all 4096 bytes, split over two R2Ts. The
pages contained stale kernel data, including an array of struct page
pointers.

Reject an R2T for a request that is not a write.
AV:N - The bug is in the NVMe-over-TCP host PDU receive path (nvme_tcp_recv_skb → nvme_tcp_handle_r2t). A remote NVMe-oF target or on-path attacker sends an R2T PDU over TCP (port 4420) and the host splices the READ destination buffer back over that socket.
AC:L - A malicious controller that replies to an in-flight READ with a well-formed R2T always triggers the leak; the reporter reproduced a full 4096-byte disclosure with a test target. No race, special memory layout, or rare config beyond CONFIG_NVME_TCP is required.
PR:N - NVMe/TCP requires no authentication by default (TLS and DH-HMAC-CHAP are optional and off in stock configs), so the remote peer needs no privileges or credentials on the victim host; it simply answers I/O the host is already sending.
UI:N - No victim action is required at exploit time; once the host is connected (including via nvmf-autoconnect at boot), ordinary filesystem or block I/O issues READ commands and the malicious target triggers the leak by replying with R2T PDUs.
S:U - The disclosure is of the host kernel's own I/O buffers and page-cache pages to the connected target. No VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - nvme_tcp_try_send_data() splices the READ destination pages to the attacker. Those pages hold stale kernel memory (reproduced: 4096 bytes including struct page pointers). Every subsequent READ can leak another MDTS-sized buffer of recycled kernel pages.
I:N - The host only transmits existing buffer contents; the bug does not write attacker-controlled data into kernel memory, corrupt kernel structures, or provide a write or control-flow hijack primitive.
A:N - The malformed R2T path completes the command successfully with nothing logged; the reporter observed a silent disclosure with no oops, panic, hang, or other availability impact.
AV:L - Attacker-controlled opcode/slba/nblocks enter via copy_from_user of struct nvme_user_io in nvme_submit_io(), reached only through ioctl(NVME_IOCTL_SUBMIT_IO) on an NVMe block or ng* char node (blkdev_ioctl → nvme_ioctl / nvme_ns_chr_ioctl → nvme_ns_ioctl). No remote protocol carries that payload.
AC:L - nvme_submit_io() copies the user nvme_user_io, accepts nvme_cmd_read/write/compare, and submits with the caller-chosen io.slba; there is no race or layout dependency, so the same ioctl reliably performs the I/O.
PR:L - nvme_open()/nvme_ns_chr_open() impose no capability check, and the vulnerable nvme_submit_io() path never called nvme_cmd_allowed(), the only CAP_SYS_ADMIN gate for partition and read-only-fd I/O. An unprivileged user who can open a partition or O_RDONLY NVMe node can issue the ioctl.
UI:N - The attacker opens the NVMe node they already control and issues NVME_IOCTL_SUBMIT_IO themselves; no other user must mount media, pass a file, or otherwise act.
S:U - Skipping nvme_cmd_allowed() lets the caller read and write other LBAs of the same NVMe namespace in the host kernel. That is intra-OS partition/fd-mode bypass, not a VM, IOMMU, or guest-to-host boundary crossing.
C:H - On a partition bdev, nvme_ioctl() still uses bdev->bd_disk->private_data (the whole namespace) and nvme_submit_io() programs c.rw.slba from attacker io.slba without adding bd_start_sect, so nvme_cmd_read returns arbitrary namespace LBAs including other partitions.
I:H - The same path accepts io.opcode=nvme_cmd_write and, because nvme_cmd_allowed() is not called, ignores NVME_IOCTL_PARTITION and !open_for_write, so the attacker can persist writes to any namespace LBA from a partition fd or an O_RDONLY descriptor.
A:H - Those unscoped nvme_cmd_write commands can overwrite other partitions' metadata, swap, or the OS image on the same namespace, persistently denying use of the host or co-tenant volumes (the failure mode nvme_cmd_allowed() exists to prevent)."
