Title
Login as User <= 1.0.3 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Privilege Escalation via 'oclaup_original_admin' Cookie
Summary
The Login as User plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.3. This is due to the handle_return_to_admin() function trusting a client-controlled cookie (oclaup_original_admin) to determine which user to authenticate as, without any server-side verification that the cookie value was legitimately set during an admin-initiated user switch. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to escalate their privileges to administrator by setting the oclaup_original_admin cookie to an administrator's user ID and triggering the "Return to Admin" functionality.

Title
Divi Form Builder <= 5.1.8 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Missing Authorization to Privilege Escalation via User Profile Update Form
Summary
The Divi Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in versions up to, and including, 5.1.8. This is due to the update_user() function accepting a user ID parameter from form submissions without verifying that the authenticated user has permission to edit that specific user account, and the handle_register_submission() function only checking if any user is logged in rather than validating permissions for the target user. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to change the email address and password of any user account, including administrators, resulting in complete account takeover.

Title
Amelia <= 2.1.3 - Insecure Direct Object Reference to Authenticated (Employee+) Privilege Escalation via 'externalId' Parameter
Summary
The Booking for Appointments and Events Calendar – Amelia plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.3. This is due to the `UpdateProviderCommandHandler` failing to validate changes to the `externalId` field when a Provider (Employee) user updates their own profile. The `externalId` maps directly to a WordPress user ID and is passed to `wp_set_password()` and `wp_update_user()` without authorization checks. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Provider-level (Employee) access and above, to take over any WordPress account — including Administrator — by injecting an arbitrary `externalId` value when updating their own provider profile.

Title
User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration <= 4.3.1 - Unauthenticated Insecure Direct Object Reference to Arbitrary User Subscription Overwrite
Summary
The User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.1 via the payment_page() function due to missing validation on the 'user_id' user controlled key. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to activate a free subscription pack for any user on the site, overwriting their existing paid subscription and causing loss of paid features.

Title
Fluent Forms <= 6.1.21 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Authorization Bypass via 'form_id' Parameter
Summary
The Fluent Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in all versions up to, and including, 6.1.21. This is due to the SubmissionPolicy class authorizing submission-level actions (read, modify, delete, add notes) based on a user-supplied `form_id` query parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Fluent Forms Manager access restricted to specific forms, to read, modify status, add notes to, and permanently delete form submissions belonging to any other form by spoofing the form_id parameter to a form they are authorized for.

Title
Fluent Forms <= 6.2.0 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Authorization Bypass via 'table' Parameter
Summary
The Fluent Forms – Customizable Contact Forms, Survey, Quiz, & Conversational Form Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 6.2.0 via the exportEntries function due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Fluent Forms manager-level access and above, to bypass form-level access restrictions to access submissions from forms they are not authorized to view, export data from arbitrary database tables, and enumerate database table names via error message disclosure.

Title
Academy LMS <= 3.8.1 - Unauthenticated Insecure Direct Object Reference to Private Topic Disclosure
Summary
The Academy LMS – WordPress LMS Plugin for Complete eLearning Solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in versions up to, and including, 3.8.1. This is due to the '/topics' REST API endpoint being registered with a permission callback set to '__return_true', allowing unauthenticated access to course curriculum data without verifying the course's post status or user enrollment. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to access detailed curriculum information for private, draft, scheduled, or password-protected courses by enumerating course IDs.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design

For each and every data access, ensure that the user has sufficient privilege to access the record that is being requested.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design Implementation

Make sure that the key that is used in the lookup of a specific user's record is not controllable externally by the user or that any tampering can be detected.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Use encryption in order to make it more difficult to guess other legitimate values of the key or associate a digital signature with the key so that the server can verify that there has been no tampering.

No CAPEC attack patterns related to this CWE.
