Vulnerability from variot
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. macOS before 10.12.2 is affected. The issue involves the "OpenPAM" component, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by leveraging mishandling of failed PAM authentication by a sandboxed app. Apple macOS is prone to multiple security vulnerabilities. Attackers can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary code, perform unauthorized actions, obtain sensitive information, gain elevated privileges or cause a denial-of-service condition. OpenPAM is one of the components that allows administrator-defined user authentication and session management using loadable modules. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain access to the application. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512
