Vulnerability from variot

Unspecified vulnerability in the dpwinsup module (dpwinsup.dll) for dpwingad (dpwingad.exe) in HP Data Protector Express and Express SSE 3.x before build 47065, and Express and Express SSE 4.x before build 46537, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or read portions of memory via one or more crafted packets. HP Data Protector Express is prone to a privilege-escalation vulnerability. Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code with escalated privileges or cause denial-of-service conditions. Successfully exploiting this issue may result in the complete compromise of affected computers. UPDATE (June 23, 2009): This issue was originally reported as a local vulnerability. Additional reports indicate that remote attacks are possible. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
