Summary
SSA-196737: Multiple Vulnerabilities in SINEC Traffic Analyzer Before V1.2
Notes
Summary
SINEC Traffic Analyzer before V1.2 is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.
Siemens has released a new version for SINEC Traffic Analyzer and recommends to update to the latest version.
General Recommendations
As a general security measure, Siemens strongly recommends to protect network access to devices with appropriate mechanisms. In order to operate the devices in a protected IT environment, Siemens recommends to configure the environment according to Siemens' operational guidelines for Industrial Security (Download:
https://www.siemens.com/cert/operational-guidelines-industrial-security), and to follow the recommendations in the product manuals.
Additional information on Industrial Security by Siemens can be found at: https://www.siemens.com/industrialsecurity

The issue affects only NGINX products that are built with the module ngx_http_mp4_module, when the mp4 directive is used in the configuration file. Further, the attack is possible only if an attacker can trigger processing of a specially crafted audio or video file with the module ngx_http_mp4_module.",
