{
"category": "general",
"text": "Python-keystoneclient is a client library and a command line utility for\ninteracting with the OpenStack Identity API.\n\nIt was found that Python-keystoneclient treated all settings in paste.ini\nfiles as string types. If the \"insecure\" option were set to any value in a\npaste.ini configuration file, it would be evaluated as true, resulting in\nTLS connections being vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks.\n(CVE-2014-7144)\n\nNote that when the \"insecure\" option was not set in paste.ini, it evaluated\nto false, and verification was performed.\n\nThis update also fixes the following bugs:\n\n* Previously, when running Python-keystoneclient in the DEBUG log level,\nsensitive data may have been logged in plain text. Refer to the OSSN-0024\ndocument, linked to in the References, for further information.\n(BZ#1106328)\n\n* Previously, when attempting to enable the use of the s3_token middleware,\nfor use with the Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) APIs, a \"No\nmodule named webob\" error was returned. (BZ#1133431)\n\nAll python-keystoneclient users are advised to upgrade to these updated\npackages, which correct these issues.",

Vulnerability from github
8.2 (High) - CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N
OpenStack keystonemiddleware (formerly python-keystoneclient) 0.x before 0.11.0 and 1.x before 1.2.0 disables certification verification when the "insecure" option is set in a paste configuration (paste.ini) file regardless of the value, which allows remote attackers to conduct man-in-the-middle attacks via a crafted certificate.
