Title
Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) through Dashboard Studio PDF Export in Splunk Enterprise
Summary
In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.2.4, 10.0.7, 9.4.12, and 9.3.13, and Splunk Cloud Platform versions below 10.4.2604.3, 10.3.2512.12, 10.2.2510.14, 10.1.2507.22, and 9.3.2411.132, a low-privileged user that does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could send server-side requests to arbitrary internal destinations through the Dashboard Studio PDF export feature. The vulnerability exists because the trusted-domain validation uses a prefix match that can be bypassed with attacker-controlled subdomains (for example, docs.splunk.com.evil.com), and because the PDF export service follows HTTP redirects automatically without re-validating each redirect target against the allowlist.

Title
Unauthenticated Server-Side Request Forgery via WS-Addressing in WSO2 API Manager
Summary
The WSO2 API Manager's message flow component, when processing WS-Addressing headers, does not sufficiently validate or restrict user-controlled input within these headers. This omission allows an attacker to manipulate WS-Addressing headers to specify arbitrary destinations for server-initiated requests. Successful exploitation allows an unauthenticated attacker to control the destination of server-initiated requests originating from the WSO2 API Manager. This direct control can enable unauthorized access to internal network resources or services that would typically be inaccessible from external networks.

Emlog is an open source website building system. Versions up to and including 2.5.19 are vulnerable to server-side Out-of-Band (OOB) requests / SSRF via uploaded SVG files. An attacker can upload a crafted SVG to http[:]//emblog/admin/media[.]php which contains external resource references. When the server processes/renders the SVG (thumbnailing, preview, or sanitization), it issues an HTTP request to the attacker-controlled host. Miniflux Media Proxy SSRF via /proxy endpoint allows access to internal network resources
Summary
Miniflux 2 is an open source feed reader. Prior to version 2.2.16, Miniflux's media proxy endpoint (`GET /proxy/{encodedDigest}/{encodedURL}`) can be abused to perform Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). An authenticated user can cause Miniflux to generate a signed proxy URL for attacker-chosen media URLs embedded in feed entry content, including internal addresses (e.g., localhost, private RFC1918 ranges, or link-local metadata endpoints). Requesting the resulting `/proxy/...` URL makes Miniflux fetch and return the internal response. Version 2.2.16 fixes the issue.

Title
OpenCTI has a Semi-Blind SSRF via Unvalidated External URL in Data Ingestion Feature
Summary
OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to 6.8.16, the OpenCTI platform’s data ingestion feature accepts user-supplied URLs without validation and uses the Axios HTTP client with its default configuration (allowAbsoluteUrls: true). This allows attackers to craft requests to arbitrary endpoints, including internal services, because Axios will accept and process absolute URLs. This results in a semi-blind SSRF, as responses may not be fully visible but can still impact internal systems. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.8.16.

CAPEC-664: Server Side Request Forgery

An adversary exploits improper input validation by submitting maliciously crafted input to a target application running on a server, with the goal of forcing the server to make a request either to itself, to web services running in the server’s internal network, or to external third parties. If successful, the adversary’s request will be made with the server’s privilege level, bypassing its authentication controls. This ultimately allows the adversary to access sensitive data, execute commands on the server’s network, and make external requests with the stolen identity of the server. Server Side Request Forgery attacks differ from Cross Site Request Forgery attacks in that they target the server itself, whereas CSRF attacks exploit an insecure user authentication mechanism to perform unauthorized actions on the user's behalf.
