GHSA-CRV7-7245-F45F
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2021-08-02 16:55 – Updated: 2022-02-08 21:08When reading a specially crafted 7Z archive, Compress can be made to allocate large amounts of memory that finally leads to an out of memory error even for very small inputs. This could be used to mount a denial of service attack against services that use Compress' sevenz package.

GHSA-F5XM-F2M7-VRG6
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-04-24 15:32 – Updated: 2026-05-18 15:30In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rxrpc: fix oversized RESPONSE authenticator length check
rxgk_verify_response() decodes auth_len from the packet and is supposed to verify that it fits in the remaining bytes. The existing check is inverted, so oversized RESPONSE authenticators are accepted and passed to rxgk_decrypt_skb(), which can later reach skb_to_sgvec() with an impossible length and hit BUG_ON(len).
Decoded from the original latest-net reproduction logs with scripts/decode_stacktrace.sh:
RIP: __skb_to_sgvec() [net/core/skbuff.c:5285 (discriminator 1)] Call Trace: skb_to_sgvec() [net/core/skbuff.c:5305] rxgk_decrypt_skb() [net/rxrpc/rxgk_common.h:81] rxgk_verify_response() [net/rxrpc/rxgk.c:1268] rxrpc_process_connection() [net/rxrpc/conn_event.c:266 net/rxrpc/conn_event.c:364 net/rxrpc/conn_event.c:386] process_one_work() [kernel/workqueue.c:3281] worker_thread() [kernel/workqueue.c:3353 kernel/workqueue.c:3440] kthread() [kernel/kthread.c:436] ret_from_fork() [arch/x86/kernel/process.c:164]

GHSA-FR2C-799Q-PG3X
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-05-06 12:30 – Updated: 2026-07-09 15:32In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dlm: validate length in dlm_search_rsb_tree
The len parameter in dlm_dump_rsb_name() is not validated and comes from network messages. When it exceeds DLM_RESNAME_MAXLEN, it can cause out-of-bounds write in dlm_search_rsb_tree().
Add length validation to prevent potential buffer overflow.

GHSA-FX8C-8VRH-7HG5
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-07-11 15:31 – Updated: 2025-07-11 15:31An Improper Handling of Length Parameter Inconsistency vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a logically adjacent BGP peer sending a specifically malformed BGP packet to cause rpd to crash and restart, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Continued receipt and processing of this packet will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition.
Only systems configured for Ethernet Virtual Private Networking (EVPN) signaling are vulnerable to this issue.
This issue affects iBGP and eBGP, and both IPv4 and IPv6 are affected by this vulnerability. This issue affects:
Junos OS:
- all versions before 21.4R3-S11,
- from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S7,
- from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S7,
- from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S4,
- from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S5,
- from 24.2 before 24.2R2-S1,
- from 24.4 before 24.4R1-S3, 24.4R2;
Junos OS Evolved:
- all versions before 22.2R3-S7-EVO,
- from 22.4-EVO before 22.4R3-S7-EVO,
- from 23.2-EVO before 23.2R2-S4-EVO,

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-04-09 21:31 – Updated: 2025-04-09 21:31An Improper Handling of Length Parameter Inconsistency vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
When a device configured for Secure Vector Routing (SVR) receives a specifically malformed packet the PFE will crash and restart. This issue affects Junos OS on SRX Series:
- All 21.4 versions,
- 22.2 versions before 22.2R3-S6,
- 22.4 versions before 22.4R3-S6,
- 23.2 versions before 23.2R2-S3,
- 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S4,
- 24.2 versions before 24.2R2.
This issue does not affect versions before 21.4.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2022-12-12 09:30 – Updated: 2022-12-14 18:30Multiple vulnerabilities in the Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) functionality of Cisco ATA 190 Series Analog Telephone Adapter firmware could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on an affected device and cause the LLDP service to restart. These vulnerabilities are due to missing length validation of certain LLDP packet header fields. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending a malicious LLDP packet to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute code on the affected device and cause LLDP to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.

GHSA-HMR7-M48G-48F6
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2023-09-14 16:17 – Updated: 2023-10-02 21:03Impact
Jetty accepts the '+' character proceeding the content-length value in a HTTP/1 header field. This is more permissive than allowed by the RFC and other servers routinely reject such requests with 400 responses. There is no known exploit scenario, but it is conceivable that request smuggling could result if jetty is used in combination with a server that does not close the connection after sending such a 400 response.
Workarounds
There is no workaround as there is no known exploit scenario.
Original Report
RFC 9110 Secion 8.6 defined the value of Content-Length header should be a string of 0-9 digits. However we found that Jetty accepts "+" prefixed Content-Length, which could lead to potential HTTP request smuggling.
Payload:
POST / HTTP/1.1
Host: a.com
Content-Length: +16
Connection: close
0123456789abcdef
When sending this payload to Jetty, it can successfully parse and identify the length.
When sending this payload to NGINX, Apache HTTPd or other HTTP servers/parsers, they will return 400 bad request.
This behavior can lead to HTTP request smuggling and can be leveraged to bypass WAF or IDS.

Mitigation
When processing structured incoming data containing a size field followed by raw data, ensure that you identify and resolve any inconsistencies between the size field and the actual size of the data.
Mitigation
Do not let the user control the size of the buffer.
Mitigation
Validate that the length of the user-supplied data is consistent with the buffer size.
CAPEC-47: Buffer Overflow via Parameter Expansion
In this attack, the target software is given input that the adversary knows will be modified and expanded in size during processing. This attack relies on the target software failing to anticipate that the expanded data may exceed some internal limit, thereby creating a buffer overflow.
