Looking for some assistance exploiting this CVE. Ironically enough it's not for a pentest, but for a new managed client who does not know their fortinet password. We're trying to avoid doing a factory reset if possible especially since they are a little further out (though it wouldn't be the end of the world if that's what it comes down to). I followed the POC by Horizon3ai and successfully uploaded a pub key, but I'm still getting prompted for a password when I attempt to SSH into the firewall. Has anyone else experienced this or knows of another way we can leverage the CVE to get in? I don't believe it's limited to just uploading a pubkey for ssh.
