Ongoing attacks against Office 365Identified as CVE-2021-40444, the security issue affects Windows Server 2008 through 2019 and Windows 8.1 through 10 and has a severity level of 8.8 out of the maximum 10.\n\nMicrosoft is aware of targeted attacks that try to exploit the vulnerability by sending specially-crafted Microsoft Office documents to potential victims, the company says in an advisory\u00a0today.\n\u201cAn attacker could craft a malicious ActiveX control to be used by a Microsoft Office document that hosts the browser rendering engine.
