CVE-2024-36902 — ipv6: fib6_rules: avoid possible NULL dereference in fib6_rule_action()

Affected: Linux, Siemens RUGGEDCOM RST2428P, Siemens SCALANCE XC-300/XR-300/XC-400/XR-500WG/XR-500 family, Siemens SCALANCE XCM-/XRM-/XCH-/XRH-300 family, Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 TM MFP - GNU/Linux subsystem

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ipv6: fib6_rules: avoid possible NULL dereference in fib6_rule_action()

syzbot is able to trigger the following crash [1],
caused by unsafe ip6_dst_idev() use.

Indeed ip6_dst_idev() can return NULL, and must always be checked.

[1]

Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000000: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP KASAN PTI
