Perl now uses the first variable listed in the environment array and it removes any subsequent entries of the same-named variable from the array, so that child processes have only one variable instance in its environment.
Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
